Comment: Great site! I haven't been through all of it yet, I have commented on the one that opens with Diana singing "Let There Be Love", and I may find that this is a revised version of that one. Naomi is truly stunning, and is all that and more. I'm glad there is so much internet information on this terrific woman and entertainer, she's my favorite of them all.

I would like to hunt down her work and enjoy them again. Remembered when she dies I was exactly eight years old and seeing it on the news during school half term very sad but she still lives on.

Comment: I was a member of the SacredHeartChurch in Sunningdale when Diana was battling her cancer, and visited the church to pray for a successful pregnancy for myself on the day of her funeral. I knelt at the altar of Our Lady where she frequently prayed. The church was empty and full of flowers. I asked her to ask God to replace her soul with another. My son, who was born in February 1985 and baptized there, will have his marriage blessed there in August 2009. Both Diana and this church will always have a special place in my heart.

Comment: I've been planning to visit this site for years and finally have got round to it! I was born in 1943 so by the time I was 10 Diana was a household name. I didn't get to see many films since they were A or X rated. But I did get to see Alligator and Farthing (on TV today) and, once old enough, all the other movies she made late 50s/early 60s. It was good to see her really on form and enjoying herself in the Two Ronnies serial, as well as fronting a few pop videos in the 80s. Like Eagle comic and Ealing Comedies, thoughts of Diana take me immediately back to my schooldays and the innocence of a long last age.

I was fortunate to meet her over 30 years ago, in Clapham, London where she made a guest appearance. Even then, when I was approximately 8 years old, I was mesmerized by her warmth, friendliness, her height and beauty. In my eyes, the Icon still lives on. Well Done again. Janice Phipps

Comment: A magnificent and informative tribute site to a true British icon. Not only a superb and versatile actress, she was beauty personified, both externally and internally. From what I've read and watched over the years,nobody-but nobody has a bad word to say about her, except that she was a lovely and warm human being. It's tragic that she is no longer with us,she was definitely taken from us far too soon. But her legend will live on,as she is undoubtedly the best of British!

One day on opening the door at the 'Acton Hilton' rehearsal studios, I was faced with Diana Dors. She was older, yes, but still a big star and very glamorous. I was astonished to see her in the hallway. She misinterpreted my stare however and said quickly, "I know dear, bit of a shock isn't it?'

Comment: Fabulous to find such a great tribute to Our Diana , my mother told me how Diana's mother would seen in McIlroys often making a noise :), her Uncle and Aunt played piano at my parents pub The Belle Vue Inn, (:now Longs Bar) in Old Town and her cousin Tiny worked behind the bar. Diana was a true STAR and brought glamour to our lives, her story is one of a hard working woman who made her dreams a reality and did so with great panache and style and a hard graft, I have always adored Diana Dors .

Comment: I'm an 18 year old who lives in the States, and I recently found out about Diana through a blog site. I seen a picture of her and fell in love. Then I researched her and fell deeper in love. From now on, I'll be telling everyone I know about her and my blog will be filled with her. She's amazing and the Marilyn stereotype is so not true! Thanks Paul for all of the wonderful information! ❤

Comment: Hi, Can anyone help me? A friend and I were chatting about a pictorial Biography of DD, which was due to be released some time back (saw it on this site). Any news? I think a coffee table style book of Miss Dors would be wonderful! Also I remember seeing on facebook a Book called something like 'Diana Dors: The book she tried to ban', but can't find details of it anywhere. Does anyone have any info on either? It would be most appreciated! Thanks :)

A true star I was so sad when she died but the way she battled the disease was amazing and an inspiration. Always preferred her in the later years she really blossomed with age. We miss you Dors!!!

Comment: Great site. Had a thought & wondered what others DD fans thought - if Orchard Manor is still standing & still contains a lot of the original furniture, why not turn it into a type of "Graceland"?
Webmaster: Hi Angie, Orchard Manor was bought privately a couple of years ago, the new owner did not share the same sentiment as the previous owner after Diana's death... I am sure they have made it into a family home and has now lost it's past Diana Dors glamour!

Comment: I was very fortunate to see Diana Dors perform her Cabaret show at Harpoon Louie's in Early 82 and later to receive several standing ovations from her and Alan when I performed at La vie en Rose in 83. Both of them were truly gracious and we would always get to chat after the show .Even now sadly missed. There was a rumour that both Diana and Noele Gordon were to appear as Blanche and Jane Hudson in a stage version of Whatever happened to Baby Jane but unfortunately Diana passed away before it could come to fruition. Thank you for this site to a truly wonderful actress

Comment: I had the pleasure of sitting at a table adjacent to one occupied by Diana at the Television & Radio Awards Lunch at the Hilton Hotel on Park Lane. Diana must have been in her late forties or maybe around fifty years of age. She was a real Star - larger than life and still had that charisma and presence that had capivated her admirers over her tragically short life. But she lived her life to the full.Diana is a showbiz legend and will never be forgotten. The iconic blonde bombshell!

Comment: Lovely photos. Though I found it quite hard to look at without having a sense of sadness. You see, my sister is a spitting image- I mean absolute image of Diana Dors- from her eyes(exact shape/expression)to her nose, lips, body. And hair. Why am I sad... Because my sister who suffered a sad life of pain is an alcoholic who has never met anyone who loved her. She is so very beautiful, but she hates herself. Years alone. Years alcohol dependant when she too could of been someone. Instead no one sees her beauty for she hides away and by God if I didn't know better, I'd of thought these photos were of her and not the late, great Diana Dors.

My English teacher made us watch 'A Taste of Honey' back in 1972 it was on B&W cine film in the school library, a rare treat. I'll never know which my teacher admired more, the film or Diana, ? however Miss Dors made an impression on me and I adored her. I became obsessed & fascinated by Diana Dors after seeing her in Hammer House of Horrors & obviously the iconic music video Prince Charming. Diana's death was a devastating loss to Showbiz. I have never been wrong with my instant judgements of character in my 40 years on this planet & I can tell Diana was a beautiful soul.

Comment: I've always loved and admired Diana and her skills as an actress both comedic and serious were at times underrated. Still much missed!

Comment: What a fabulous website ! Well done Paul, you have done a fantastic job, I couldn't stop reading it. My parents adore Diana, but due to ill health ( they are in their late 80's ) they have not been able to visit her resting place until this very year, when my mum will be 87 ! I can't wait to show them, I have visited several times.
Please keep up your wonderful work about an inimitable, down - to - earth lady who we were so lucky to be able to claim as our very own British screen goddess.
